Newcastle Bangla School, an accredited, non-profit, NSW Language School, is committed to educating Newcastle’s young Bangladeshi community about their cultural and linguistic background. We deliver hands-on, fun experiences encouraging young people to connect to their Bangladeshi heritage.
Newcastle Bangla School has been running since 2015. School promotes young Bangladeshis’ connections to their culture through education. Their interactions with language, cultural traditions, and the wider Bangladeshi community encourage a meaningful relationship with their background.
Time: Sundays during the school term, 10:00am to 12:00pm (subject to change- check Facebook page)
Location: Main Hall, Jesmond Public School
Stationary and instructional materials: Provided

We would like to thank our volunteers, core parents committee and advisors in guiding us. The school's success depends on a dedicated group of volunteers who provide their time and effort in teaching our next generation to speak our beloved mother tongue and connect with our culture. Newcastle Bangladesh Community Incorporated celebrated its 10th year anniversary program "Mezban" 22nd November, 2025 and Newcastle Bangla School performed "Deora" in this historic event.
Choreographer: Dr. Bipasha Matin and coordinated by Dr Nafisa Nasrin and Eng. Moniruzzaman Masud.
Newcastle Bangla School performed a musical to showcase the beauty of Bangladesh & the Language Movement of 21st February 1952. The musical was choreographed by Adnan Al Moshi and coordinated by Fakhrul Islam and Nazma Islam.
